Funko goes Classic Batman – Pop! and Batmobile Set

Funko has announced the Pop! Heroes: Batman Classic TV series featuring characters classic 1960s Batman TV series. This series features villains Penguin, Mr. Freeze, King Tut, and The Riddler, as well as Batgirl – to keep the villains from creating havoc. There’s also a chase variant of The Riddler where he’s wearing his question mark suit and bowler hat.

Also announced is the Action Figure: 1966 Batmobile. The Batman and Robin figures feature nine points of articulation and are 3.75 inches tall. And the set isn’t complete without Batman’s signature Batmobile. This 11-inch ride is Funko’s first ride featuring rolling wheels.

It’s Not Funny brings together artists, designers, and collectives who use toys and humor to engage with serious subject matter. The diverse projects featured in this exhibition combine playful objects with unexpected and deeper cultural critique. Threezero’s The Great Wall – 1/6th scale Strategist Wang

Threezero has announced the third figure from “The Great Wall” movie license. The 1/6th scale Strategist Wang collectible figure is scheduled to be available for pre-order at Threezero’s Official Website starting on Thursday April 6th 2017 at 9PM ET. It will be available for $168.00, with worldwide shipping included in the price. The Strategist Wang collectible figure stands approximately 12 inches tall and features a highly-accurate lifelike likeness to Andy Lau as Strategist Wang in the film.

REVIEW: TMNT (1990 Movie) – 1/4th Scale Raphael

The 1990 live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film holds a special place in the cockles of my heart. I was only 11 years old when it was released, and the film was the first that I was able to attend without parental interference. That’s a big moment for a youngster, and luckily it was a TMNT film and not something like The Rescuers Down Under (also released in 1990).

Huck Gee’s SKLFKR

Clutter Magazine has announce their latest project with artist Huck Gee. The SKLFKR is a 20 inch tall skull-laden mecha. As part of winning his prestigious 2015 Artist of the Year and 2015 Toy of the Year Designer Toy Awards, Huck was provided a sponsorship to work with 3D printing technology to bring to life a brand new creation.

Threezero’s 1/6th scale Shin from Dorohedoro

Nominations Open for the 7th Annual Designer Toy Awards

The Designer Toy Awards have officially launched the nomination period for the 7th annual DTAs. Running from now until April 7th 2017 (6pm ET), nominations can be submitted through the above link. This year’s awards will accept nominations for releases, artists, and companies, that were active from January 1st 2016 to December 31st 2016.

If you’re thinking…didn’t we just have the 6th annual DTAs? Yes. But they’re moving the ceremony from New York Comic Con (usually in October/November) to May 19th 2017, during the weekend of Five Points Festival in NYC.
