MimoPower BatteryBot

Mimoco has introduced MimoPower BatteryBot - a rechargeable backup battery for smartphones, tablets and mobile devices. This is their first in the MimoPower line of mobile charging accessories.

They're going the Kickstarter route in order to get the initial 10 BatteryBot designs kicked off. These designs are from the Animal Critterz and Core Series collections. Personally, I feel like they would gain much more support (and funds) by not including the licensed BatteryBots as part of their stretch goals.

This project will only be funded if at least $65,000 is pledged by Friday November 22nd 2013 at 11:59pm EST.

I Bug You: Infecting the world!

Beca has been sculpting little handmade 'Bugs' for several years now. And while they've been selling really well at high-end shops around Miami, it's gotten to the point that she can't fulfill the orders by hand-making them anymore.

So, she has has taken to Kickstarter to help raise funds to produce vinyl versions of the Bugs. The money raised on Kickstarter will be to used to produce the mold, manufacture vinyl figurines on a keychain/zipper pull, cover testing for hazardous material, and packaging.

This project will only be funded if at least $12,500 is pledged by Sunday December 8th 2013 at 12:13AM EST.

Vicious Plush looks to get Kickstarted

Vicious Plush

Natalie and Natasha (NatsToys) have created the Vicious Plush line and taken their production hopes to Kickstarter. As with all Kickstarter projects, they have several funding levels available. The first level where one of the three plush toys (Tear Bear, BaBOO!, and Hissy Puss) is available is at $35.00.

The Kickstarter project will only be funded if at least $25,000 is pledged by Monday November 4th 2013 at 1:26AM ET. But before you decide, you should really check out the below video. I think the most unintentionally funny moment is when a few kids are putting on a puppet show with an angry, bloody bear.

Monstermatic: Design and 3D Print a Monster

Monstermatic is the first free mobile game app that allows users to create and 3D PRINT custom designed monsters. Players are given tools to invent, interact, share, and ultimately unleash their monsters into the world through 3D printing technology. New monsters and further customization options can be unlocked simply by playing the game.

Clayton Mitchell and the Monstermatic team have taken to Kickstarter in ordering to get funding for the project. As you can see, they already have 3D printed versions of some of the monsters you can create.

I've seen this type of project a lot with plush toys, but this is one of the first with 3D printed pieces. The Monstermatic project will only be funded if at least $30,000 is pledged by Wednesday October 16th 2013 at 6:01PM ET.
