Sleepy_titus Patrick Ma

Patrick Ma's "Do You Feel Lucky" Show opens at OhNo!Doom Gallery courtesy of A.Okay Official on June 5, 2009 from 6PM until 10PM. The show will feature the debut of the newest IWG Designer Vinyl Figures - the IWG Sleepy Bears Series - as well as 5 new Vector Illustrations. Three of those illustrations were inspired by iconic characters found in classic 1960’s and 1970’s anti-hero movies.

If you can't make it out for the opening, the show will run through June 30th. As with all sales under the Rocket World label, a portion of the revenue is donated to
non-profit Wildlife Conservation Groups.

IWG Titus Plush

This only makes sense, right? Rocket World has these incredibly cute animal characters. But vinyl isn't cuddly. So, Patrick Ma has posted the above secret spy photo of a Titus plush on his Twitter account.

While there aren't many details available yet, I see a huge market for these. Here's hoping that they release several of their more popular IWG characters in a plush line.

IWG Sleepy Bear Series

Rocket World has unveiled photos of their upcoming IWG Sleepy Bear Series. The three little bears will be Titus (brown), Peary (bloody polar) and Sun Tzu (panda). Each figure will include a spork, combat knife and human skull trophy. Pricing is not yet available, but they are slated to be released in June 2009. These are just way too cute.

New IWG Series Landing June 2009…

Hmm...if you're on the Rocket World mailing list, you probably received an email with this blurred image. So what will this new line of IWG figures be? Is Titus holding something there? We'll soon find out.

REVIEW: IWG Astro Krieg Mini Figures

You might have seen the IWG Astro Krieg SeriesRocket World has taken three of their most popular Insurgents Wilderness Gruppo characters (Titus the Grizzly Bear, Hannibal the Mountain Guerilla, and Affonso the White Rhino) and decked them out in space gear.

Currently, there are three colorways available: Classic Galactic Silver (Ice Clear Bubble Helmet); Covert Space Pirate Black (Laser Green Bubble Helmet); New World Eco-Green (Laser Orange Bubble Helmet).  For purposes of this review, we’ll be looking at the Classic Galactic Silver version.

Each figure in the IWG Astro Krieg series is packaged in the same window front box.  There is a little artwork (some sketches of what’s included inside) on the box.  And all of the contents are contained in sealed plastic bags.

SDCC 2008: Rocket World

If you walked by the Rocket World booth during their daily toy toss, you had a chance of either being mauled by folks trying to snag free toys...or you had a shot of grabbing an IWG Airborne Series figure.  The booth might have had the most new releases on hand.

There were IWG Zipper Pulls, the Airborne Series and 3 different IWG Astro Krieg Flying Saucer Attack Crafts (and the accompanying trio of figures).  You could also check out the Rocket World Longboard, a white Polar Bear Creature Hoodie and plenty of prints.

Preview IWG Flying Saucer Attack Craft

These are photos of Rocket World's pre-production IWG Flying Saucer Attack Craft (and mini figures).  Only a handful of these will be made available at SDCC. The Covert Space Pirate Black Edition is shown and will run $49.95 each.
