REVIEW: Uglydolls – Ugly Charlie
There have been a few Uglydolls that actually have the word Ugly in their name. There's been Deer Ugly, Ugly Ghost, Ugly Worm and Uglydog...to name a few. And as a part of their 2011 series, Sun-Min and David have introduced us to another ugly character – Ugly Charlie.
Ugly Charlie and his little brother Jrizzy are always putting on a show. Ugly Charlie likes to take center stage anytime he can. Especially if someone is watching. If you really want to get on his good side, clap when you think his routine has come to an end. Uh, but most of his routines are never ending, so maybe bring some popcorn or something. This could take a while. Good luck.
Manufacturer: Pretty Ugly
Artists: Sun-Min Kim and David Horvath

Ugly Charlie has the traditional green Uglydoll swing tag. It includes the background story from above as well as an illustration of the character.
You know...they say that Ugly Charlie is Jrizzy's older brother, but I think he resembles one of the older Uglydolls. Maybe he's a second cousin of Ox. But as soon I saw the plush, I had a little feeling of deja vu. And it's probably because there was a run of various Ox color plushes a few years back, one of them being pink.
Ugly Charlie is a slightly more subdued pink than some other Uglydoll characters. He has one X'ed out eye as well as a normal Ugly eye. There are those long antennae ears and arms that point straight out. And he has a pair of yellow, downward-pointing, curved teeth.
OVERALL: Ugly Charlie might be my least favorite of the 2011 Uglydolls. Not because there's anything wrong or bad about him, but because the design just feels familiar. Plus, Sun-Min and David have really shown up with a bunch of great characters in the 2011 Uglydoll plush series.
