There's been a huge to-do about Barack Obama's daughters - Sasha and Malia - and their first day of school.  And here's where it ties in with our site.  Sasha was spotted with the clip-on version of Babo's Bird attached to her backpack.  I've read no less than 10 articles about this "Uglydoll" thing that, apparently, most of the world thinks is a new phenomena.  But you know better...right?

It's great seeing David and Sun-Min getting a bunch of positive publicity on the national scale - The Today Show, The Daily Show, MSNBC, etc.  But it's even better when you read David's blog and realize that they aren't going mainstream (you'll still have to find them at independent toy shops).
