On Monday, February 8th, beginning at 9AM PST, eFX Inc. will begin accepting pre-orders for their unique, new Darth Vader Concept Helmet based on pre-production sketches by Ralph McQuarrie.
Only 250 of helmets – which can be separated into three pieces – will be produced worldwide. Affectionately dubbed “McVader” by developers at eFX, the helmet was created from one of the original concept sketches – chosen by McQuarrie – and brought to life by digital sculptor Jay Kushwara exclusively for eFX.
The retail price for the helmet is $899, plus shipping and handling, and a non-refundable deposit of $250 will be required at the time of pre-order. The balance will be due when the Darth Vader Concept Helmet is ready to ship, which is estimated to be in late May.
