Glen Hay, founder of HayWüd, has announced that HayWüd’s first Kickstarter campaign is looking to raise funds to produce the Wood Warriors series of wooden collectibles. There are plans to hand-produce five different characters as a part of this series: Caveman, Japanese Warrior, Cowboy, Viking, and Pirate. Reward tiers that include the Wood Warriors figures start at the $55.00 funding level.
About the line, the artist mentions the following: “Whether it’s the Cowboy’s Straight Shooter, or Cro-Magnon Man’s spear, all figures use the strongest, Neodymium Magnets. I use only eco-friendly, sustainable premium hardwoods and wood glue. NO paints, dyes, or stains are used, allowing the natural wood to show through. Danish oil or Beeswax may use used to enhance a wood grain.”
The project will only be funded if at least $6,995 is pledged by Monday, April 18th 2016 at 1:43 PM EDT.
Remember...this is not a pre-order. There are many instances of crowd funded projects that have been funded never making good on their promised goods. So back with caution.
