Kidrobot fans on the west coast will be feeling the same sorrow as those in New York. As of May 30th 2014, the Kidrobot LA store will be closing...for good. While the company says "our business strategy will increase focus on Kidrobot’s key dealer network and web brand presence", you have to wonder...is this it?
Kidrobot is apparently looking to get out of the retail game. It makes sense. With the addition of so many licensed products, I'm sure we'll soon be seeing their products next to Funko stuff at your local big box retailer. That's where the actual money is made, no? Designer toys are great and all...but it's not surprising that very few of companies that were around in 2004 are still up and running today.
