Patrick Wong has released a new custom 6" Kidrobot Fatcap entitled Frozen Krylon. The piece, which is not available to purchase, includes custom sculpted features, an ice platform constructed from balsa wood, and is shown holding a small can of "Red Devil" spray paint.
The concept of "Frozen Krylon" supports the graffiti-themed Fatcap figure while introducing some of the formal aspects of graffiti writing. Before there was acrylic art spraypaint like Molotow and Ironlak, artists used high pressure hardware store paint like Krylon. With only a limited color selection to choose from, the technique of freezing a can upside-down and mixing aerosol cans was employed to create custom colors.
