Background
Erick Scarecrow and ESC-Toy have released Series 3 of their Turtum Micci resin collectibles. You probably recall the Mousey Micci plush from Erick. The Turtum Micci looks like the Micci alien took the form of a turtle – rather than a mouse.
The series consists of seven different colorways: Limon, Pink Lemonade, Lapiz, Jelly Shot, Denim, Shiro and Silver. For purposes of this review, we're going to take a look of the Limon and Pink Lemonade Turtum Miccis.

Packaging
The resin figure comes packaged in a small corrugated cardboard box. The outside is decorated with a large sticker. That sticker contains some information about the line and character, but – most importantly – it has a photo of the figure. Inside, the figure is protected in a bubble wrap pouch.
Our Opinion
Anymore, you need to give me something new, fairly-priced and fun if you want me to purchase a figure. At New York Comic Con 2011, I decided to pick up one (or two) of Erick Scarecrow's Turtum Micci resins. At $20 a pop, it didn't break the bank, and the clear resin looked amazing in the display case. Luckily, the real thing looked exactly like that display item.
If you've been following the designer toy community as long as I have, you've probably noticed a slow transition from vinyl to resin. Pricing and ease of accessibility are two of the main reasons behind that...but you can also accomplish some unique looks using resin.
The Limon and Pink Lemonade Turtum Miccis are made using clear tinted resins. There is minimal use of paint details, mainly around the eyes (Pink Lemonade) and face/body (Limon). I like the use of color gradients on each resin, whether it's varying shades of pink on the Lemonade Turtum or the transition from yellow resin to green painted resin on the Limon.
With all of that cool resin/paint coloring, you might overlook the great sculpting work. The Turtum Micci features detailed sculpting on most of its body. And that big noggin doesn't make the resin teeter.
Overall, the Turtum Micci is well worth the $20.00 price tag. You're getting a great character design with excellent quality. Just remember that these are resin...so no Turtum Micci throwing parties.
