The Thirty Three and a Third (point two) Art Show opens tonight (Sunday November 13th 2011) at Schera’s Fine Art in Elkader, Iowa. The show features 33 and a third different artists and designers reinterpreting and re-imagining existing album covers in their own unique style. The size of each piece is 12” by 12” (the size of a vinyl LP) using a variety of different media to come up with their covers.
Local illustrator and designer Dana Lechtenberg created and is once again curating the show (his 5-year-old daughter, Emmalene, will be the final “third” artist rounding out the 33 and a third participants).
The opening night reception will be held from 4:00PM to 8:00PM.
