ESC-Toy and Sony Computer Entertainment of America will release a run of limited edition Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Nathan Drake vinyl figures in the Fall of 2009. The 8" tall figure is designed by Erick Scarecrow and will come in several colorways which include a random treasure item. Stay tuned for more info on the figure and the upcoming Uncharted 2: Among Thieves release exclusively for the Playstation 3.
From the preview alone this is going to be a failed toy. The design is dreadful. I like most of Erick Scarecrow’s vinyl toys, but this is not in any way a good design for a stellar videogame/ videogame character. I love Uncharted and when I heard there was going to be a vinyl toy I got super excited. Once I saw the preview I was disguised. Now if Sony would have had Mezco Toys produce a Nathan Drake vinyl toy like they did of the Hellboy Vinyl Bust, it would have been something worth buying. Making a cheesy cartoon version of Nathan Drake makes no sense… AT ALL. Very disappointed. What a waste.
