Background
One of Patch Together’s newest On Demand releases is the Foo Dog Toy from artist Melita Curphy a.k.a. Miss Monster. Not too surprisingly, the giant dog/cat/monster hybrid character earned enough pre-orders to make it to the production phase. We’ve shown you glimpses and production photos of the figure, but with the release date approaching, we’re set to give you a full review of the Foo Dog Toy.

Our Opinion
You’ve probably come across Patch Together products before. Their On Demand line gives artists from all different backgrounds the chance to have their characters turned in small run figures. Now, Miss Monster has been producing her own handmade plush and sculpey creations for years now. And if you’ve followed our site, you’ve probably seen reviews of them here.
The Foo Dog Toy is done is Melita’s recognizable monster style. That means: big teeth; long, wavy hair; horns; feline look. It comes packaged in three pieces, with the arms removed. Even though the arms move, in order for the piece to stand correctly, there’s only one position they can be in.
It’s a really well sculpted piece. The wild hair flows in all different directions. The large arms and chest offset the skinny lower body. As far as the paint goes, the only trouble area is around the teeth and mouth. The black lines could be tighter between the teeth and some of the paint from the lips has ended up on his choppers. But that’s the lone area in need of a little touchup.
If you’re a fan of Miss Monster’s artwork – or just monsters in general – this will make a colorful addition to your collection. It’s a big, solid figure and well worth the price of $44.99.
