Background
Holly Stanway, from A Little Stranger, is known for producing her handmade Bunny Brooches and selling them via her etsy shop. She’s an artist who does drawings and other plush creations, but for purposes of this review…we’ll be looking at her Bunny Brooch line.
Packaging
Holly packaged the Bunny Brooch in a small jewelry style box with what appears to be a piece of a feather boa. I guess you could go ahead and reuse this for your 1:6 scale customs…
The Figure
The Bunny Brooch is approximately 3.5” in height. It’s a hand cat resin piece that’s been hand painted and sealed with a lacquer finish. The piece is set on a plush backing, where you can find a safety pin for wearing. The Bunny also has fur that surrounds the face and ears. And each one of these pieces, since they all are handmade, is unique.
Our Opinion
I must say this…as a guy…if I wore a Bunny Brooch, people might look at me a little differently. Now, for kids and women…these are great. And they’d be a fun part of anyone's collection, especially if you are into rabbit themed items.
For a handmade piece, the quality is above average. It looks and feels like a production piece…without any of the mass production flaws.
And in addition to stocking her etsy shop with various color combinations, Holly is open to producing a Bunny Brooch in the colors you want. You want green with closed eyes? She can probably accommodate you.
