Background

The Candykiller novelty keychain, from Wheaty Wheat Studios, was created to calm collectors who want Brian Taylor’s Jack Rabbit character in vinyl form.  It’s to whet your appetite as we approach the release of the full-size Jack Rabbit figure later in early 2008.

The keychain has been released in three different colorways:  Retro, Mono and Glow.

Packaging

While it might look like these are blind boxed, there is a small sticker on the back of the box.  This sticker denotes whether it is the Retro, Mono or Glow version.  It’s a pretty nice looking box design for a keychain.

The Figures

The Candykiller keychain stands at approximately 2” in height.  It has
one point of articulation (turns at the neck).  Since it is such a
small figure, it’s an injection molded piece.  This means it’s solid
and not hollow like rotocast vinyl.

Our Opinion

Wheaty Wheat has given us a glimpse at what the full size Jack Rabbit
figure will look like, and these keychains look like a miniaturized
version.  For a 2” tall keychain, the sculpting and paintwork is
amazing.  You almost wish that there wasn’t a keychain inserted in the
back of the Candykiller’s head.  I suggest unscrewing the figure from
the keychain, and adding it to your collection.  Either that…or attach
some keys and impress your friends.
