Corey Helford Gallery launches into 2010 with Youth Parade, the highly-anticipated new body of work by New York-based artist Michael Mararian. Returning to the gallery for his second solo exhibition, Mararian will unveil one of the gallery’s most significant exhibitions to date. Youth Parade challenges audiences, in both concept and context, with its controversial imagery and dark subject matter.
Upstairs in the loft, Los Angeles artist Miso will unveil The Cold Returns, her new series of paintings and sculptures. The sheepies and misos that populate this exhibition have weathered the tundra and fjords of their individual phantasmagoria to open a new season, with the promise of a magical experience.
Open to the public, the reception for these two shows takes place on Saturday, January 16th, 2010 from 7PM to 10PM and the show will be on view until February 6, 2010.
