Somewhere in Between – new works by Laura Borchert opens Friday August 28th at Eclectix Gallery and runs through October 4th. The reception will take place on the 28th from 7PM until 10PM.

Borchert's works present us with a world of precarious imbalance and natural beauty. Graceful, serene paintings of floating flora and fauna and scientific, specimen-like renderings; her imagery reminds us of the delicate state of our environment. With surreal fantasy juxtapositions of  outer space landscapes, her works evoke wonder, yet concern, for the continued evolution of healthy life on our planet. A Bay Area artist, Laura's works are small in size only, looming large in their regal majesty, sad commentary, wondrous worlds and decorative beauty.
