In 1930, The Shadow first appeared as the host of The Detective Story Magazine Hour for American radio. Among the actors to play The Shadow was the great Orson Welles. The Shadow fought evil forces with his mysterious girasol ring, guns, fists, and iconic laugh! Soon, The Shadow became a world famous pulp magazine with suspenseful storytelling and rich cover art. The Shadow has spawned countless imitations and is credited as being the direct inspiration for Batman. The Shadow has made an indelible mark on pop culture that lasts to this day.

Go Hero teams with ZICA Toys

Go Hero has announced that they'll be teaming up with ZICA Toys to create new 1:9 scale collectibles based on several Bluewater Productions titles. This includes: The Misadventures of Adam West; Logan's Run: Last Day; Sinbad: Rogue of Mars.

The new collectible lines will feature ZICA Toys' articulated Z-Body (recently featured in their Buck Rogers line). "The goal is to strike the best balance between the popular retro aesthetic and the modern quality and detail to deliver exciting figure designs."

Steve Forde and Go Hero were at New York Comic Con alongside the folks from Zica Toys. There was a lot of Buck Rogers at the booth - including Go Hero's retro imagining of Wilma Deering and Twiki. And if you saw Bat Boy roaming around the convention floor...his home base was this booth.

You've probably seen Bat boy gracing the cover (and pages) of the good old black and white supermarket checkout line fare - Weekly World News. But now you can pick up the first ever toy based on the infamous character. He's selling for $24.99 plus shipping (and that includes that killer pair of cut-off denim shorts).

Wrath of the Titans Exclusives

Go Hero has announced that they'll be releasing two limited edition ZoloWorld.com exclusive pieces from Bluewater’s Wrath of the Titans series. The Charon the Ferryman/Perseus 2-pack and the Evil Aura Glow Skeleton are both available for pre-order.

Each Evil Aura Glow Skeleton figure comes with an Exclusive Head Design, Shield Design, and Glow feature. Charon the Ferryman comes in a 2-pack with Perseus, includes a gold coin, cloak, and wooden staff. The Evil Aura Glow Skeleton runs $75 plus $10 shipping, while the Charon the Ferryman/Perseus 2-pack is limited to 200 sets ($189 + free shipping).

Dead Presidents’ Custom Disintegrator

Before Flash Gordon, Superman, or Star Wars, there was one hero among the stars that would define pop culture, science, and the comic book hero. In 1928, Buck Rogers blasted off in the pages of John F. Dille’s National Newspaper Service syndicate. Buck Rogers is the original sci-fi comic hero! Of the many eras and derivatives of Buck Rogers, never before have these amazing designs been captured in an authentic 1:6 scale figure.

In steps Go Hero, the company previously best known for their original Mechabot character. Not only have they released a full-scale replica of Daisy’s 1930 Atomic Disintegrator, but they also dropped a 1:6 scale version of the “Man of Tomorrow”.
