Kawaii Cubes Nesterz are the newest cubic creation from the folks at Wish Factory. Like their plush Kawaii Cubes, these “cute” little squares feature simplified character designs with a Japanese flare. The first series of characters released are licensed by DC Comics.
The DC Comics Nesterz are available as 8 different characters: Batman, Bizarro, Green Lantern, Harley Quinn, The Joker, Robin, Superman, and Wonder Woman. Also, they’re available in Classic, Pop-Art, and Metallic colorways. And then there are three sizes: Small, Medium, and Large.
Wish Factory sent us some Nesterz to check out. If you’ve ever seen Russian Nesting Dolls, then you know the concept. The Large and Medium cubes separate at the head. You pop off the head and there’s a slightly smaller Kawaii Cubes Nesterz inside. That is, until you get to the Small cube. That one is solid and feels to be made of rubbery plastic.
The stylized character designs lend themselves to the simple cube shape. And as you can see in the above photo, they can be easily stacked to display. The only tricky character is The Joker, because he’s sporting a little cowlick or something sprouting from the center of his head. So you don’t get a flat base to balance the next cube on it.
Currently, the Kawaii Cubes Nesterz are a Target exclusive and only available in these DC Comics characters. I wasn’t able to find them online, but I’m assuming they should be available at brick and mortar Target stores. They retail for $5.99 for a 3-pack (small, medium, and large) and $12.99 for a 9-pack (3 small, 3 medium, and 3 large).
