Background
Coinciding with New York Comic Con 2011 (October 2011), David Horvath had several signings in the NYC area. One of those signings took place at the Yoyamart store, where they released a special Uglydoll - the red version of Cookie Dream Babo.
When Babo sleeps he dreams of cookies, but when he wakes up he has even bigger dreams. What are your dreams? See that building over there? See that car? That road? That all came from an idea in someone’s mind. So when someone tells you it’s all in your head, smile as wide as Babo does, because you’re on your way. Babo may be a dreamer, but he knows the dreams become real through action. So now it’s time to wake up and eat the cookie.

The tag for this Cookie Dream Babo is basically the same as the original, which was released at San Diego Comic Con 2011. It features the purple illustrated character with the Yoyamart logo at the top of the tag.
Our Opinion
The last few convention exclusives have been variant versions of already existing Uglydoll characters: Cookie Dream Babo, Uglycorn, First Mate Trunko, Hidden Poe... While Yoyamart's Cookie Dream Babo wasn't actually a convention exclusive, it was released during NYCC.
Yoyamart wanted an exclusive alternate colorway of the Cookie Dream Babo Uglydoll that debuted at SDCC 2011. The plush pattern is the same for both versions, so the only variations are the colors that were chosen.
The Cookie Dream Babo is a unique shade of red. It's like a dark red-orange. The wings are gray (on the original version, they were white). And there is one white eye and one yellow eye (on the original, they were both yellow).
As you can probably tell, this guy has faces on both sides. On one side you have open eyes...and the other, Babo's in a state of X'ed out sleepiness dreaming of cookies. It's up to you as to which side you'd prefer to display.
Personally, I prefer the colors that were chosen for the original Cookie Dream Babo. I'm not a huge fan of the different color eyes. And the yellow eye on red plush gives me the sense that this might be Cookie Nightmare Babo and the purple version is the Cookie Dream.Both versions are currently available.
