Background
The folks behind Uglydolls have been hard at work with a number of new lines – ceramics, watches, vinyl and apparel. But David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim continue to expand the line that started it all – the Uglydoll plushies. One of those new designs is Basheeshee.
Basheeshee has always grown up in the shadow of his big brother Big Toe. Mostly because Big Toe is HUGE! Well Basheeshee is huge too, not is size or muscle mass like his also blue bro, but in his capacity for love, caring, understanding, and letting his ears down to rock it baby, that’s correct! Math is his favorite art class! Add that up honey!

If you've seen one Uglydoll plush tag, you've seen them all. Well...sort of. They all use the same basic design: green with illustrated versions of the character on the front and inside, and a little background story about the character. It's nice having some consistency.
Our Opinion
It's quite obvious that Basheeshee's main attribute are his ears. They almost hang the length of his body, and, if straightened out, might just be that long. The Basheeshee plush has two eyes, a maroon oval nose and a pair of yellow, downward pointing, teeth. His arms point down and it appears he might have three little nubby fingers.
Since Basheeshee is Big Toe's little brother, there are some similarities. They both are blue, although Big Toe is slightly more teal. Also, they have the same color nose. And that's pretty much where the similarities end.
As far as quality goes, if you've purchased an Uglydoll, you know that the plush quality is well above average (especially for mass-produced lines). They're super soft and the stitching work is excellent.
OVERALL: I really think the kids are going to love Basheeshee. Those big ears are perfect for dragging around this Uglydoll. And while I'm a big fan of Big Toe, I like the blue coloring on his little brother just a little better. The big question...how are they going to turn this guy into a vinyl figure with those ears?
