Our Opinion
Vegans and vegetarians beware! The land of Sweet Meats is no place for the faint of heart…or the faint of freshly prepared animal flesh. Following plush creations such as T-bone steaks, pork chops and ham hocks…Sweet Meats dropped their Shapin’ Bacon plush.
The plush is made of two different materials. The “fatty portion” is white, sweatshirt type material, while the “meat” is maroon, felt-like plush that’s actually sewn on to the white portion.
It also feels like there is a wire armature sewn into the plush. This allows for the “crinkle technology”. And there is a little bit of stuffing in there as well, but not enough to make it lose that bacon-y shape.
I enjoy lines that take average everyday consumables (fruit, vegetables, meats, etc.) and turn them into average everyday plushies. What’s not funny about that? Hey…look! A giant piece of bacon! Now, if they only could get the smell of bacon somehow soaked into the material…that would be classic.
Shapin’ Bacon gets two forks up from this carnivore. Although it’s a little too fatty for my preference, Sweet Meats has done a great job producing a little slice of heaven. (Okay…I lost count at around 10 puns there)
