Background
A few years back, Sun-Min Kim and David Horvath introduced collectors to their Bop N’ Beep character. It was the first Uglydoll to have two completely different colored sides (and a face on each one of them). Turny Burny, the second dual Ugly, is available in a pair of colorways…so four Uglys in total.
Turny Burny are best friends, and big time troublemakers. Although, they insist it's all just a misunderstanding, and that the trouble making is all being done be their doppelgangers from an alternate dimension. Do you ever get Deja Vu? Well, Turny Burny insists that every time you feel Deja Vu, there is a dimensional portal opening up somewhere. See, so those missing cakes and pies went trough a portal, and these guys had nothing to do with it! Are you ready to take sides? Both?

The Turny Burny tag features the above bio as well as illustrations of the character on a green card (a green card…not his green card). And since the character actually has a face on each side, both of them are shown on the tag (White and Red on outside and Black and Blue on the inside…ouch).
Our Opinion
If you’re unfamiliar with the Uglydolls line, this is obviously the first time you’ve visited our site. Welcome! The plush Turny Burny pair follows hot on the heels of Mr. and Mrs. Kasoogi. And it’s one of the few Uglys to be released in multiple colors right off the bat.
So how about the two color combinations? Personally, prefer the black and white Turny Burny over the blue and pink version. It’s a little different look and we all know how tough it is keeping a white plush…well…white. But it just does a great job contrasting since black and white are such opposites.
The character looks bug-like with its curled antennae ears. Turny Burny is sporting pointy claw fingers and a pair of faces. On one side, you have a trio of eyes and curled teeth, while the reverse has a pair of eyes and pointy teeth.
Even though this character might be our least favorite of the 2009 collection, it’s still a must-have for Uglydoll fans. The only question is which Turny Burny will you buy? The Pink/Blue or Black/White or maybe both.
