Background
VA-ROOOM! Better look both ways before crossing the street, because this Tricycle Terror is burnin’ rubber!
Scott Tolleson (under his independent Stolle Art Studio) is the artist responsible for designing the craziest girl on three wheels - Tricycle Terror. The poly-resin piece depicts the frenzied character peddling on her little red trike.
Packaging
Tricycle Terror comes packaged in one of the better-looking displayable boxes out there. Done in a retro style with the same color scheme as the original, the window-front box with a clear plastic interlocking tray is fit for displaying. It has some amazing artwork by Scott Tolleson.
The Figure
The Tricycle Terror poly-resin figure is approximately 5” in height and has zero points of articulation (it IS a resin statuette). This original colorway is limited to an edition of 450 pieces. And each one of those figures comes with a little card that serves as your Certificate of Authenticity.
The actual figure comes packaged in two separate pieces: the Tricycle Terror and her flag. That flag fits securely in the back of the tricycle.
Our Opinion
I’m not sure why the Tricycle Terror has the number 13 on her back, but here’s my guess. Scott Tolleson is a Dan Marino fan. Her outfit is clearly the team colors of the Miami Dolphins and Marino was number 13.
A lot of the time, independently produced figures are a labor of love for the designer. Details are scrutinized so that the piece is produced perfectly (or at least close to perfect). You can tell that there was close attention paid to turning Scott’s drawing into a 3-D sculpt.
While the sculpt is not an exact replica of the character drawing (it’s difficult considering the angle which Tricycle Terror is drawn), it’s pretty darn close.
It really comes down to whether or not you like the character. Oh…and if you’re a fan of resin. (I’m pretty sure, sculpting-wise, it would not have worked as a vinyl figure of this size) Personally, it’s one of my favorite characters and figures of the year.

As a cyclist and collector of this style of art I fell in love with this piece as soon as I first saw the pics of it here a few months ago.Well mine arrived from Tolleson a few weeks back and I was thrilled. My only complaint would maybe be regarding the size, It would rank in my top three all-time if it were maybe 3 inches or so bigger. But, none the less it is a great piece and I really could not be happier. Might be a tough one to follow up on for Scott, though.

spelling flame:
"pedaling"
not
"peddling"
she's not selling anything on her little red trike.
or maybe she is…
I know I'm buying one.
And one does not pedal _on_ a trike (or bike.) One pedals a trike (or bike.)
