Background

Metin Seven is a Dutch designer whose weekly three dimensional webcomic - Seamour Sheep – has garnered interest due to it’s funny story line and hilarious main characters.  The comic follows the adventures of a Scottish sheep named Seamour and a wiseacre mole named Marty.

Metin teamed up with Crazy Label to bring Seamour Sheep and Marty Mole to life…in vinyl form.  Now, you can act out your favorite Seamour Sheep comic, or just sit them on your shelf and stare at them for hours.

Packaging

Seamour Sheep is packaged in a bright green box that shows the figure from various angles.  The bottom of the box has a comic printed on it and the figure is secured in a pullout tray with one twist tie.  Marty Mole’s packaging is a little simpler.  He comes bagged in a black bag that has information about the figure printed on the outside.

The Figures

Seamour Sheep is approximately 6” in height with 4 points of
articulation
(legs) and made of rotocast vinyl.  The limited edition figure has a run of 600
pieces
.  Each figure includes a protective bag as well as a pair of
nifty little goggles.

Marty Mole
is made of rotocast vinyl, stands in at around 3.25” tall and has two points of
articulation
(ball joint shoulders).  This figure should be more widely
available as its’ run size is 1,500 pieces.  However, there is a
red-nosed Marty out there (actually 14 of them).  If you find one of
them, you might want to start playing the lottery.

Our Opinion

I’ve been waiting for Metin Seven to release a vinyl toy for about 3
years now.  I saw his 3D work a while back and thought it would
transform flawlessly to the vinyl medium.  And it’s nice to see Crazy
Label go out there and give him a chance to show off these great
characters.

I am definitely more of a Seamour than a Marty fan.  The Seamour figure
has more detail and the character just seems to have more personality
(maybe it’s the goggles or the mouth).  It’s interesting that there
will be over two times as many Marty Mole figures available.  I guess
that means many collectors who buy Marty will not have a Seamour.  That
would just be a tragedy…I suggest picking one up.

You can pick one up at the following:
