McFarlane Toys has announced the second series of figures from The Walking Dead television series. Slated to hit store shelves in October 2012, Series 2 will consist of: Rick Grimes 2 (brand-new sculpt in his civilian attire); Shane Walsh (tactical attire with his newly buzzed haircut); Bicycle Girl Zombie; Well Zombie; RV Zombie. Look for them to sell around $12.99 to $14.99 this fall.
McFarlane Toys has released their newest line of figures from AMC's The Walking Dead. The Walking Dead TV Series 1 consists of four different characters: Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Zombie Walker, and Zombie Biter. Remember, these figures are based on the television series. McFarlane has also released a series of figures based on the comic book series.
Check out the above video of Todd McFarlane and author Robert Kirkman getting a hands-on look at the upcoming action figure line based on The Walking Dead comic book series. Being an avid series reader, I know that I am looking forward to these figures to drop (at least the two characters - Rick Grimes and Michonne). How about you?
McFarlane Toys has announce a pair of black and white exclusive figures based on The Walking Dead comic book series. These figures feature all of the detail, accessories, and play action of the standard full-color figures, but are given a "straight out of the comic book" grayscale look.
Officer Rick Grimes features gray-tone paint, plus matching black and white accessories - including his police bag, shotguns, pistol, and axe. This figure is exclusive to Toys "R" Us stores and will be available in September 2011.
The Zombie Lurker and Zombie Roamer will be available only as a 2-pack and are set to release this September 2011. As you can see...these have a touch of red as well (for those who like book). The zombies will be exclusive to Diamond Comics, so check your local comic shop.
September 2011, McFarlane Toys will release a new line of figures inspired by the hit comic book series, The Walking Dead. I like that in addition to the AMC television series line of figures, they'll be doing this comic book version. (I'll be picking up the comic book figures, even though the television series figures are sculpted extremely well).
The Walking Dead Comic Book Series 1 will include four figures: Rick Grimes, Michonne, a Zombie Lurker and a Zombie Roamer.
McFarlane Toys has announced today two separate deals concerning the licensing rights of “The Walking Dead". They'll be creating action figures based on the original series that premiered on AMC. The second is with Robert Kirkman to create action figures based on his comic-book series. This is the first time action figures have been produced, and both lines will be available to retailers in Fall 2011.
The first series of deluxe 6-inch figures (September 2011) includes four fan-favorite characters from the Image comic book including:
Officer Rick Grimes
The second series of deluxe 6-inch figures (November 2011) introduces four figures based on AMC’s original drama including:
Deputy Rick Grimes
Each human figure includes multiple interchangeable accessories and several points of articulation. Each zombie figure features unique, gory, play action such as exploding heads and removable limbs. Figures are expected to sell for around $14.99 at retailers nationwide.
With the 2010 NFL season upon us, McFarlane Toys has introduced a new line of 4" tall Playmakers action figures. These are obviously made to be played with. Looking at the above pictured Brett Favre figure, I'm not really sure what's going on with his helmet. It just looks...well...bad.
Series 1 includes the following players:
• Tom Brady
• Drew Brees
• Jay Cutler
• Brett Favre
• Larry Fitzgerald
• Eli Manning
• Peyton Manning
• Adrian Peterson
• Troy Polamalu
• Aaron Rodgers
• Ben Roethlisberger
• Tony Romo
• Mark Sanchez
• Jason Witten
