Background
Plastic and Plush’s first exclusive figure was released back on St. Patrick’s Day. We teamed up with Carnival Cartoons to release a special green colorway of their Pierce and Dogboy Carney set.
Packaging
The Pierce and Dogboy figures come packaged in a window-front box with a flame cutout. The above biographical information is reprinted on the back of the box, along with illustrations of the two characters. The figures come packaged in a plastic tray (no twist ties).
The Figure
Pierce stands approximately 5" tall. He comes with five actual piercings (2 on each ear and 1 eyebrow) and several sculpted ones. This green colorway features the Plastic and Plush “P” logo on the front of his t-shirt. He’s wearing cargo shorts as well as a pair of old school kicks.
Dogboy measures in around 3.75" in height. He’s sitting on all fours and sports the same shades of green as Pierce. However, this figure features the “P” logo on the rear of his shirt.
This Plastic and Plush exclusive Pierce and Dogboy Carney is limited to only 50 sets. And each set includes a signed mini-print from the artist - Jared Deal.
Our Opinion
Well, considering that this is a Plastic and Plush exclusive, it will be difficult to post an unbiased opinion here. So…we won’t. But I’ll tell you that, while some of the past Carney figures have had balance issues, these do not. They are slightly smaller than Buzz and Harriet, and have more solid bases. And as with the other characters in the line, both Pierce and Dogboy have been sculpted by the amazing Eric Nocella Diaz.
