Wow.. not that softies with beady black eyes and happy/frowny faces are all that unique in the craft world, but for a second there I thought this was an article on Sewing Stars.

Hmm.
I was going to say, these look EXACTLY like the Sewing Stars apples. Glad it's not just me who noticed.
Of course it's possible for two people to have a similar idea, but you do expect an element of personal style to show through in the design and execution – these don't look anything like Anna Chambers' previous plushes :/

Well, yes they do look similar, but in Anna's defense she was making them a while back as well:

When I saw this I thought Sewing Stars. http://annachambers.blogspot.com/2007/09/pensive-thoughts.html
the apple on the Anna blog looks nothing like sewing stars but the manufactured version really is a rip off. I don't support ripping off artists & I wouldn't buy this.

These are obviously …um… INFLUENCED by Sewing Stars. They don't even look like Anna Chambers other products.

Donuts, you are being quite restrained. There is more than influence going on here. More like blatant rip-off. Because as Rai says, sewingstars was making them first. Do all crafters now have to watch their backs less Ms. Chambers decides to copy their ideas too?

Guys I've followed anna through the whole design process of these as well as many of her other characters. These are her designs. When you deal with such simple characters lots of things start looking like they're in the same family. Anna has a unique ability to infuse charm more than any artist I know. Come to our show tomorrow and meet her and check out her stuff in person.

No thank you. I'll stick with the originals.
