Legendary Monsters

Nevermore Toys, headed by R. Todd Broadwater, has announced that they have started a Kickstarter campaign to help produce the Legendary Monsters, a new line of figures based on creatures from popular urban legends.

Four creatures are included in the first “Legendary Monsters” series:

Mothman - a winged, man-like creature spotted by two couples in Point Pleasant, West Virginia in 1966.

The Jersey Devil - a horned, bestial biped that revealed itself to Forest Ranger John Irwin in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey in 1993.

The Missouri Monster - a hulking creature covered in long, blood-spattered fur, terrified two small children in their Louisiana backyard in 1972.

Chupacabra - a pale, powerful creature with long claws and spikes running down its back, seen outside a woman’s home in Puerto Rico in 1995.

The Legendary Monsters Kickstarter campaign is scheduled to run until March 9th 2013, with a stated goal of raising $25,000. Pledge levels over $20.00 will net you a figure (glow or painted version).
