George and Ayleen are joined on the Toy Break couch for Episode 113 - Resident Expert - by Neil Winn for a look at "some new Bioshock 2 figures, KidMutant, The LEGO Book, and much more".
Very Bravo - the brand of toys, design and fashion, conceived by Italian artist Mauro Gatti - presents its second release, The Carrot Slayer.
The Carrot Slayer is their tribute to vegetarian movement: a funny executioner that, being against the murdering of people and animals, decided to put himself to the test in the art of cookery, cutting and chopping vegetables with his axe. On his belly, a cheap tattoo with the writing "Veg Life" and, chaperoning and smiling at him, a little freshly chopped carrot, bursting with irony and good humor.
The 8" tall Carrot Slayer will be launched in April 2010 in two limited editions of 250 pieces each: Gruesome wears leather and brings to mind a fetish atmosphere, and Hippie is dressed in exuberant colours, as a nostalgic flower child. The Carrot Slayer is produced by Superpowers and distributed by Atom Plastic. Look for them to retail around 45€ (about $60).

Jared Deal sent along some photos from a live painting session he did this past weekend with Dan Weise. The pictures are from a monthly party called Next Step that is held at the Piggy Bank (448 Main St, Beacon New York). The party serves as a fundraiser to help support the Electric Windows art project in Beacon. At the end of the night the painting is auctioned off. It's a fun night of music, dancing, and live art.
"On July 31, 2010, twenty four street artists, from around the globe, will converge in Beacon, NY. During a three day period they will create live artwork and have it installed on the exterior of a 19th century factory building on Main Street."

Dreamland Toyworks has released the DIY My Little Cthulhu. Each 8" tall blank vinyl figure comes with 2 blank DIY Little Victims for you to also customize. The figure is based on the art of John Kovalic, who has reinterpreted the classic H.P. Lovecraft character in his award winning strip Dork Tower.

Gatotkaca was Son of a Demigod and a Giantess, he was endowed with flying ability and superhuman strength. Terrible in battles and unforgiving to his enemies, he remained true to his family and country. Gatotkaca is regarded as the ultimate symbol of dutifulness and devotion. Despite knowing that he was destined to be killed in the great battle of Bharatayudha, he marched on nevertheless. It was his noble sacrifice that allowed good to prevail over evil.
These are currently available for pre-order through the Proxyfigures website (above link). The price ends up translating to about $38.50 (as of current exchange rates). Not bad, when you consider each one includes that killer 'stache sculpted on the figure.
Holly Stanway of A Little Stranger posted up photos of the Frogclops plush she created the designers Triclops Studios back in 2009. He’s stands in at 8.5" tall with long poseable legs and fingers, made from fleece fabric with ‘wart’ accents for texture and detail. Holly custom made the eyes from scratch and gave them a coat of full gloss lacquer to really set them off against the matte fleece fabric. Very nice...
Brent Nolasco has revealed his Sketchbot custom (for the upcoming custom show at MPH Gallery). Entitled Sweet Dreams My Love, the piece uses a variety of materials...including "Ave Sculpt, Wood, Plastic, Screws, Nails, Found Objects, and Acrylic Paint". And - from the look of these photos - it treads water. Another great custom from Mr. Nolasco.
