Background

One of Tonner Doll Company’s most popular licenses is based on the hit book – turned movie – series, Twilight. Of course, the first Tonner Character Figures released from the movie license were the main characters – Edward and Bella. But, following the popular love struck duo, Tonner has released several of the bad vampires.

The first of the trio of evil vampires, that’s been released as a TCF, is Victoria. In the Twilight and New Moon films, Victoria is portrayed by actress Rachelle Lefevre. Bryce Howard has been cast in the role for the third film, Eclipse. This version is an authorized likeness of Rachelle Lefevre, as all of the current Twilight TCFs are based on the first Twilight film.

Our Opinion

With Twilight being such a hit with tween and teen girls, Tonner has a pretty good license on their hands. Looking at the top of the line collectibles, they’re the lone company making high-end articulated figures based on the various film characters. Following Bella and Edward, Tonner chose to go with the trio of evil vampires over the Cullen family.

So how does Victoria look compared to her film counterpart? It’s a pretty good sculpt and paint application for an actress that is not a household name. She does have some blush applied, which might not be necessary for such a pale character. You’ll also see that her eyes are painted in a dark shade of red. And the hair is really well done. It’s very stringy (there’s always some strands in her face in the photos), which allows for different stylings.

The character’s outfit is what you’ll remember from the first Twilight film. Her white faux fur coat is the most recognizable aspect of Victoria’s attire. And all of the included items appear to be film accurate, from the movie stills I could find.

One nice addition to this figure is the inclusion of the flat arched feet. I’m not sure why you’d use the high-heeled feet, since no shoes are included with the TCF. If you go that route, it looks like she’s standing on her tippy toes.

Overall, the Victoria TCF is a must-have for high-end Twilight collectors. There was a lot of San Diego Comic Con buzz around the unveiling of Tonner’s trio of evil vampire figures. The Tonner Character Figures are clearly the pinnacle of Twilight collectibles. And with the impending release of the new Twilight film – New Moon – fans will be clamoring for more vampires.
