Tenacious Toys and NEMO (NYC-based
sculptor Mike Mendez) have teamed up for a new custom exhibition - The Rollie Show. That's right! They're using those 99-cent Avon roll-on deodorant bottles (specifically the version pictured above) as a custom platform. Makes sense...they''re cheap, plastic, readily available and made in China.
You can either purchase one on your own, or Tenacious Toys will get you an
emptied-out Rollie shipped out to you: $3 for US; $4 for Canada; $7 for International. If you are interested in participating, shoot them an email at tenacioustoys@gmail.com. All customs are due by October 28th (if you're mailing them) and early on the show date (if you're attending).
The customs will then be put on sale (50% to the artist and 50% to the curators) for 4 to 6 weeks.
