REVIEW: WorryWoo Monsters – Squeek and Fuddle

Background

Yesterday, we brought you a review of the first two WorryWoo Monsters from artist and author Andi Green. Today, we’ll be looking at the next two character released from the line – Squeek and Fuddle.

Squeek is The Monster of Innocence. He needs to step outside his bubble. Will you show him all the wonderful things he is missing?

Fuddle is The Monster of Confusion. She never knows which direction to go in. Will you help he find her way?

Packaging

The plushies each include a tag that features a reprint of one of the watercolor illustrations by Andi Green, as well as a short bio (reprinted above) of the character.

The Figures

Squeek, The Monster of Innocence, stands approximately 11” in height and is made from “cotton candy colored” pink fabric. He has big puppy dog eyes, a long nose, blue tail and a nice hairdo.

Fuddle, The Monster of Confusion, also stands in at 11” tall and features a rather impressive orange-brown head of hair. She has two small pink and blue horns and a long tail with fur at the end. The plush has chicken-like feet and fabric eyebrows.

Like with all of the WorryWoo Monsters, Squeek and Fuddle have the WorryWoo bellybuttons and little black spots made from thread.

Our Opinion

While the Squeek and Fuddle books have yet to be published, we’re happy to see the plush versions of these characters hit shops. They fall in line with the rest of the WorryWoo Monsters and resemble the watercolor artwork that adorns their tags.

So let’s take a closer look at each plush:

Squeek stands fairly well for a plush, although you might have to adjust the stuffing a little to get the proper stance. The design of this character appears simple at first, but it begins to grow on you. If you look at the plush straight on, you get the real look of “innocence” with those sad eyes. Kids will definitely love this guy.

Fuddle might be my favorite of the WorryWoo Monsters line (so far). She has hair that’s higher quality – it covers the entire back of her head. To stand, it might take a little more adjusting on this plush, since her large feet do move back and forth. Her arms are somewhat plain, but what you have to love is…the face.

Fuddle actually has little eyebrows (or maybe eyelids) made out of a separate piece of fabric. And the little horns and pug nose top off this great looking plush.

Overall, if you’re a plush collector…have a child…or just enjoy a cute, unique toy…you’ll want to pick up a WorryWoo Monster.
