With the hatching of an egg and the words “Domo, Konnichiwa” emanating
from a nearby television, a star was born.  Domo – known in his native
Japan as Domo-kun – appeared in 1998 as the spokesmonster for NHK
(Nippon Hoso Kyokai), Japan’s public television station, starring in
several 30-second stop-motion animated shorts.  In the following years,
he became first a Japanese and then an international icon, and now he’s
made his way to the United States for the first time in the form of a
series on Nicktoons, a multitude of Domo merchandise, and the
first-ever Domo series of mimobot Designer USB Flash Drives!
