Background

If you’ve ever been to comic, toy or Star Wars convention, you might have seen a guy dressed up in a tracksuit and painted Boba Fett helmet.  Normally, you’ll see him carrying around his 80’s style boombox and unlit lightsaber.  Well, that guy is known as the Sucklord and he’s the creative force behind Suckadelic.

Suckadelic is known for producing small run bootleg figures from their Chinatown (NYC) abode.  They’ve brought us a number of unique heroes and villains, even though the lines are often blurred between good and evil.  The latest project from the Suckord is their first rotocast vinyl figure – the Sucklord 600.

Packaging

In traditional Suckadelic style, the blister card is meant to resemble classic Star Wars packaging.  The card itself is 13” in height and could easily be displayed in mint-on-card style.  As always, the Sucklord humor is evident all over the product.

The Figure

The Sucklord 600 rotocast vinyl figure is approximately 5” in height.
It features 8 points of articulation (head, waist, feet, hands and
arms) and includes 4 accessories.  Those accessories are a lazersword,
boombox, turntable and cape.  Both the turntable and cape can be
attached to the figures’ back via a small hole.  And the record and arm
on the turntable actually move.

The first vinyl figure from Suckadelic is limited to a run of 1,000 pieces.

Our Opinion

It’s not often that I don’t want to open up a product to review.  But
the quality of the packaging on this one is just that good.  That might
be because I grew up a Star Wars fan.  So if you never collected the
old Kenner figures, the packaging wouldn’t drum up old memories.

I would have liked a little more detail on the actual figure (the black belt and straps on the outfit).  The vinyl is a good likeness, but I'm wondering if the Sucklord did the sculpting on this one...due to a superhero-like pants bulge.

While Suckadelic’s previous figures gave the appearance of bootleg toys
made in a Chinatown basement, that’s what they were shooting for.
This, however, is the Sucklord’s first shot at the rotocast vinyl
universe.  Is he finally going legit?  I doubt it.  But it will be nice
seeing the rest of the Suckadelic universe get the vinyl treatment.
