Big Puff Maki Poster

Have you seen Enjin Factory's line of Instant Sapien figures?  If not, you're missing out on some very cool toys.  Don't fret, they have not yet been released.  Look for them to hit stores early 2006.  We do have a sneak peek at the poster of their first character - Big Puff Maki.  Combine a little James Bond, Japanese anime and blood and there you go!

Announcing something new!  The first ever PLUSH RUSH!  It's a whole bunch of plushy, art goodness held in Columbus Ohio and hosted by Mr. Pickles, Jenny Harada & Acme Art Company.  PLUSH RUSH will celebrate handmade plush from over 80 artists around the globe!

What is plush, you might ask?  Some may describe it as squishy, squashy fabric-y forms of art, others may say that plushies are handmade warm & fuzzy toys.  They may be made out of felt, flannel, fleece, velvet – whatever!  Some have faces!  Others wear funny t-shirts!  One thing is for sure – they’re all made with love!

Another Shot of Tequilla

If you read Vinyl Pulse, you know that they have been doing a great job following the production of Tequilla.  Tequila is the first in a series of rotocast vinyl figures to be released by Muttpop. The first run of figures will have three variations of this beautifully designed Lucha Libre character (Original, Extra Spicy, Raw) and includes a rotating head and removable soft vinyl poncho.

Look for the Original Version (700 pieces) to retail around $60 each and for the Extra Spicy Version (250 pieces) to retail for around $75 apiece.

The figure is based on the Devilrobots design using Meltdown's 10th
anniversary Classic Meldown LOGO MAN, MEL. MEL was created back in 1996 for
Meltdown by Oscar nominated Cartoonist extraordinaire DAN CLOWES. Ghost World,

MELTO-FU has been brought to life as a three dimensional 13 inch figurine
by the very mysterious Japanese sculptor Monster5.  Edition size is 300 Blue and 700 Green.  Suggested Retail Price $40.

Gimix Toys DOs & DON’Ts

Gimix Toys have just released a set of 4 vinyl figures based
on VICE MAGAZINE's "DOs & DON'Ts".  Each figure is approximately 7 inches tall and comes in a window box that is decorated like a New York City bodega. The figures are made of rotocast vinyl.  There are currently 2
"DO" figures and 2 "DON'T" figures that make up the 4 figure set.

 
Look for these to sell around $15 per figure. The characters have been designed by Vice Magazine's Gavin McInnes & Patrick McEown and each figures has a funny story on the back.
