Aliens vs. Predator Cosbaby

Hot Toys has announced their lineup of Aliens vs. Predator Cosbaby figures.  Each Cosbaby stands approximately 3" in height and features the following characters in baby form:

  • Alien
  • Battle Damaged Alien
  • Wolf Predator
  • Ancient Predator
  • Predator
  • PredAlien
  • Plus a secret design...

I'm just wondering why they didn't do this for Predator 2.  Wouldn't YOU have picked up a Danny Glover figure?

Marlon Brando 1/6 scale – 1953 Version

I'm not sure how many of you have ever seen Marlon Brando in the 1953 film The Wild One, but Hot Toys is releasing a 1/6 scale figure based on the Brando character.  While Hot Toys does not state anything about the film (they're releasing it as a Brando-1953 figure), it's obvious by the attire that it's his rebel biker character - Johnny Strabler.

Tough x Apexplorers Adam

Adam is a 1/6 scale figure that's created and designed by Winston Classic Creation LtdHot Toys  produced both the regular and the special black version of the figure.  And both Adams come decked out in gear from the Hong Kong fashion brand - Tough.

Dr. Cube by Kennyswork

Dr. Cube, designed by Kennyswork, is one of the newest 1/6 scale figures from Hot Toys.  The figure has over 20 points of articulation and a detailed uniform that consists of a welding helmet, gloves and a pressure suit.

Jango Fett Chubby

Who wouldn't want a Jumbo Chubby?  At over 8.5" in height, this Jango Fett Chubby is definitely large.  (I can't type this with a straight face)  Hot Toys will be releasing the above Star Wars figure in the 2nd quarter of 2008.  It will have a removable helmet as well as magnetic feet.

Star Wars Chubby Series 2

Hot Toys released photos of their Star Wars Chubby Seres 2.  (Why do I always chuckle when I read chubby?)  Each of the Star Wars
Chubby consists of 3 different sizes of doll (like nesting dolls). Each size represents a
different stage of the particular character throughout the saga.  The characters in Series 2 include: Stormtrooper/Clone Troopers, Jango Fett/Boba Fett, Luke Skywalker, Starfighter Pilots, Princess Leia and Ewoks.

REVIEW: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End Cosbabies

Hot Toys took the Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End license and produced a 1/6 scale line as well as their Cosbaby mini line.  If you’re not familiar with the 3” tall Cosbabies, they could be lumped into the “block figure” genre of designer toys.  Although, the only thing that is blocky is the torso.

The Pirates lineup includes 5 different figures of 4 different characters: Jack Sparrow (2 different outfits), Will Turner, Sao Feng and Davy Jones.  And Sideshow is distributing the line in the United States.

While it might appear that the line is blind boxed, it's not.  Each figure is packaged in the same windowless mini box, but there is a small square beside each character’s photo.  Look for the check mark, and you'll know which figure you’re getting.

Hot Toys has released photos of two of their newest 1/6 scale figures from the film Alien.  The Nostromo Crew Members (Captain Dallas and Executive Officer Kane) are set for a second quarter 2008 release.  And the helmet and backpack on these figures actually light up.

Rocky III Italian Stallion Version

Hot Toys' 12" tall Rocky Balboa figure is set to be released in the 2nd Quarter of 2008.  The Italian Stallion version includes:

  • over 22 points of articulation
  • Real fabric costume with shorts, socks, and the “Italian Stallion “ yellow robe
  • Boxing gloves

  • Title Belt

  • Authentic Stallone portrait
  • Figure stand with the Rocky III logo and Rocky Balboa nameplate

Everybody Needs To Know It’s The Year Of The Mouse

Boy...that title will make absolutely no sense to anyone who never heard Year of the Rat by Badly Drawn Boy.  Anyway.  Hot Toys is celebrating the Year of the Mouse by releasing 11" tall Mickey and Minnie Mouse collectible figures.  They are all decked out in traditional Chinese Emperor and Empress garb.

Since I don't celebrate Chinese New Year, these figures don't do much for me.  But I can see how they will be big with those who well as Mickey and/or Minnie Mouse collectors.
