Hi Fructose is making a new photo from renowned toy photographer Brian McCarty available for download (screen backgrounds and iPhone). The photo is of Yoskay Yamamoto's Koibito vinyl and will be featured in the upcoming Hi Fructose Volume 10. And Mr. McCarty had to brave December in LA...in a pool...for this shot.
Hi-Fructose Vol. 9 will begin shipping this October. In this issue they will be featuring the art of Netherland painter Chris Berens, Stella Im Hulteberg, the art of Dan May, and they'll also introduce you to Sam Gibbons' symmetrical wood-cut chaos, Tara McPherson, Jeff Gillette, Liz McGrath and the art of Ekundayo. The 100 page, full color magazine is edited by Annie Owens and Attaboy. And this volume's cover art is from Sam Gibbons.

The Hi-Fructose booth was manned by Attaboy and featured a number of his one-off custom figures. There were also artist signings, which included free prints to the first 50 people who purchased a shirt or magazine during the signing.
But if you weren't into free stuff, you always could have picked up some of the already released Hi-Fructose issues, the moleskin sketchbook, resin Qweshun and Pound, customs and tons of artwork.
Hi-Fructose will be giving away an exclusive giclee print by each artist who is signing to the first 50 people with the purchase of a magazine or t-shirt.

Hi-Fructose magazine has announced a new project with Pressure Printing and artist Travis Louie. Premiering at the Hi-Fructose Booth at Comic Con and available online exclusively through HiFructose.com, Bride of Stan is a hand printed intaglio etching, individually tea stained, and signed by the artist.
Each etching will be housed in a hand-casted and antiqued resin frame with custom cut solid steel backing for free standing or wall mounted display. The etching will be protected by a high quality "bubble" glass, the same kind used on Louie's originals.
Bride of Stan is limited to 50 pieces. Each package will include an embossed and signed Certificate of Authenticity. Travis will be flying in from NY for a signing at the HF Booth.
