Disney will be releasing this series of six of the most important condiments on your table - in Vinylmation form. These will be limited edition...and while most of the designs aren't inspiring...I do like the honey bottle figure.
Probably the most anticipated Vinylmation line from Disney is the upcoming Star Wars Series #1. And while they've dropped some sketch images, this is the first approved 3" figure photo from that line. It's, of course, Lando Calrissian, who will be a part of the series when it debuts later in 2010 (no firm date set yet).
MINDstyle will be releasing the all-new 3" tall Stitch Mini Figure line (Series 1) featuring Disney’s standard and vault characters. The Stitch vinyl trading figures (VTF) come in blind box format and will include randomly inserted “super-secret chase figures". Hmm....
Disney has announced that the Park #4 9" Vinylmation figure inspired by the Sci-Fi Dine In Restaurant at Disney's Hollywood Studios will be released on May 14th 2010 at the Walt Disney World Resorts.
The design includes a salute to the classic Disney television special Mars and Beyond which is one of the many sci-fi themed films showcased inside the Sci-Fi Dine In Restaurant at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Sideshow Collectibles is bringing Medicom's newest Disney Vinyl Collectible Doll to collectors in the US and Europe. The Donald Duck VCD stands approximately 7" tall and features the iconic duck in a cross-armed pose. The rotocast vinyl figure is currently up for pre-order ($59.99) and is set to ship in Q3 of 2010.
Disney has revealed the final two sneak peeks at their Star Wars Vinylmation series. Yes, that's Chewbacca and Han Solo in little Mickey form. The Chewbacca design might be my favorite of those that have been revealed. I'm looking forward to how these turn out.
Disney has posted these concept art photos of two more characters from their upcoming Star Wars Vinylmation Series. Yep, that's C-3PO and R2-D2 in Vinylmation form. While I like the artwork, I'll hold judgment until these are actually produced - since that's often the Vinylmation line's biggest obstacle.
Disney has released a new stylized plush line called the Pook-a-Looz. These 12" tall fleece plushies have been launched in 20 different designs - all based on various Disney characters. Look for them to retail around $12.50 each.
The characters include:
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, Goofy, Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, Piglet, Queen of Hearts, Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, Alice in Wonderland, Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Snow White, Dopey and Grumpy.
Disney has unveiled a glimpse at a pair of their upcoming Star Wars Vinylmation designs. If I had a guess, I'd say that these will probably be the best selling Vinylmation series - I mean they're Star Wars. The artwork looks good (a little stylized), but if you've compared any of the previous figures to their original artwork...you'll notice that the figures rarely pull off that look.
Disney recently released a new series of Vinylmation figures based on Jim Henson's Muppets characters. This series of 3" Vinylmation pieces includes 12 of the most recognizable characters from The Muppets - although no Gonzo or Scooter. You can purchase these online ($9.95 each blind box) or at the Disney Theme Parks.
