Funko's latest delve into their Action Figures line brings us way back to the 1990's with some characters from The Disney Afternoon Collection. The Action Figure: Disney Afternoon series is based on four different television series from the season 2 lineup (Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Tailspin, and Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers). Oh...how those shows got me through those awkward middle school years.
The fully articulated figures stand roughly 3.75 inches tall and most are featured with accessories. This series includes the terror that flaps in the night - Darkwing Duck, the richest duck in the world - Scrooge McDuck, a bear who also flew a plane - Baloo, and that pair of mischievous chipmunks, Chip and Dale. Look for the Darkwing chase, featured in black and white, a rarity of 1-in-6.
If you're interested in pre-ordering these, you can head over to Amazon.com to place your order (or pre-order).
If you've never seen the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special television film, and you consider yourself a Star Wars fan, you need to go grab a bootleg copy of it. Where else will you see Bea Arthur as a singing bartender working in the Mos Eisley Cantina? But one of the most overlooked aspects of the special (no, not meeting Chewbacca's family) is that Boba Fett made his debut in an animated short that was featured during the variety show.
And while this version of Boba Fett is often talked about, it's not until now that Hot Toys has announced the 1/6th scale Boba Fett (Animation Version) collectible figure. Featuring Boba Fett’s classic look from the Star Wars Holiday Special animation, the highly accurate 1/6th scale Boba Fett (Animation Version) figure is specially equipped with blue and yellow colored Mandolorian armor, a twin-pronged electropole, a blaster pistol and his iconic jetpack on his back.
Sideshow Collectibles is currently taking pre-orders for the Boba Fett figure. It's priced at $235.00 and expected to begin shipping in Q2 of 2018...or I guess in time for your 2018 Star Wars Holiday Special viewing.
The 1/6th scale Boba Fett (Animation Version) Collectible Figure features the following:
Authentic and detailed likeness of Boba Fett in Star Wars Holiday Special.

Pair of hands for holding weapons
Left hand for holding electropole
Boba Fett blue and yellow color Mandolorian armor
Gray flight suit

Blue and yellow jetpack
Hexagonal bounty hunter themed figure stand with Boba Fett’s nameplate
Here's a Funko Pop! series I can get behind...or, well...just purchase. The Pop! Movies: Tron series includes two of the main characters from the 1982 Disney live-action film. This series features Tron – the self-monitoring security program, and the evil program Sark. Both Pop!s comes sporting discs from their fierce disc battle. And each one has a 1-in-6 chase variant.
So Tron is one of my favorite 80's sci-fi films, but I never understood the love from Tron and lack of love for Flynn. Flynn was the main character, right? I mean Tron had his moments (like the final battle against Sark), but the film was primarily about Flynn being stuck inside ENCOM mainframe. And why no 1/6th scale Tron figures? The 1980's is money, folks!
Go ahead and pre-order over at Amazon.com. Or you can pick up some of Funko's already released Tron figures from other toy lines.
