BO9 from Black Oink

From Black Oink, BO9 is a resin figure project that will be released this Saturday (GMT +8 hours,
Singapore time) with only 12 available in 4 different colorways. Each
BO9 will retail at $65 plus shipping. Each piece is
individually packaged with a handmade showcase (see-through) box that includes the following:

1 x BO9 decal with the toy no.
2 x BlackOink logo decals
2 x mini photo prints

1 x BlackOink Limited Edition keychain

This is a great project...I thought it was a production run figure. Someone should really make that happen!

REVIEW: Bunny Brooch

Holly Stanway, from A Little Stranger, is known for producing her handmade Bunny Brooches and selling them via her etsy shop.  She’s an artist who does drawings and other plush creations, but for purposes of this review…we’ll be looking at her Bunny Brooch line.

Holly packaged the Bunny Brooch in a small jewelry style box with what appears to be a piece of a feather boa.  I guess you could go ahead and reuse this for your 1:6 scale customs…

The Reading Monster

uhoh Toys has released their newest figure - The Reading Monster - in limited quantities. Two colorways have been released: the Silver/Black Fade and the Bloody Valentine Limited Edition. The Silver/Black Fade comes in a bag with header card, and the Bloody Valentine version  comes packaged in a special metal tin. The Reading Monster is 3.25" tall, handmade and cast in translucent resin, limited and numbered with a Certificate of Authenticity. Each figure runs $10.

Made in China

Gary Ham's newest handmade figure - named Made in China - is a wooden panda made of (I'm presuming) bass wood. Who wanted to see a small run series of these little characters?

X-Ozzel in Camo

Porlzilla finished painted 2 color versions of X-Ozzels -
desert camo and jungle camo. Each piece is unique, none of the camo
patterns or blood splatters are the same.

Like the Ozzel's in the past, they are made from Resin Plaster and handpainted. Each piece is in a handmade window box, which includes background info/story card and a handmade pin-badge.

Bunny Brooches

Holly Stanway has introduced her Bunny Brooches. Each bunny brooch has a hand cast, hand painted resin face set into a
plush back and finished with a safety clasp. The bunny face is an
original sculpt by me and is sealed with layers of clear lacquer for a
durable finish.

She has a few up for sale in her etsy shop and, until this weekend, she'll be accepting
commissions for valentines day for anyone who would like a brooch made
in a specific colour scheme.

Monstrehero at NY Comic Con

Monstrehero will be attending NY Comic Con this February. They'll be debuting two new sculpts - Victim #2 and Intergaladiator - and have a small sampling of their other
figures from the past year. They don't have a booth, but they should be walking around
sporting some MONSTREGEAR (so you should be able to recognize them).  And readers can email them at for more info.

Also, they have a special collaboration with SUPER7 coming out February 7. The handmade resin Victim #1 (pictured below) will be available for $100 apiece.

Kittoy Clear

Tan-Ki will be releasing a new series of handmade Kitoy: Ki-Clears.  Limited to 10 figurines, these pieces will be made available on Friday January 16th, 2009 here. All figures will be sold on a first come first serve basis.

The Littles

The Littles are the first creations from Creamous.  The line of three different designs is completely handmade.  The figure is described as a mixture of toy and fashion (hence the fashionable bag).  Each of the three colorways - Purple Little, Yellow Little and Black Little - are limited to runs of 9 pieces.

Now available for pre-order, each figure will run $94 - $79 plus $15 shipping.  Look for them to be released in March of 2009.
