So this has been a long time coming. Way back in 2007 (two years into this site's existence), I reported on how Plaseebo's Legend of Sum prototype was displayed at the Toy Tokyo booth at San Diego Comic Con. At that point in time...I couldn't wait to check it out. Unfortunately, things happen. But this might be the longest time between seeing a prototype and having a release that I have witnessed in this business. And, thankfully, collectors and fans of artist Bob Conge (I consider myself one of each) will be very happy.
The Plaseebo "SUM" Creature will be the first vinyl figure to be created by the joint forces of Planet-X and Plaseebo. The piece will feature an internal color-changing LED unit (for multiple colors). The first release of the Plaseebo “SUM” creature in vinyl will be this Saturday, May 5th 2018, in Japan at the MANDARAKE "Indy Sofubi Rally”.
