Bubi Au Yeung (the creator of characters such as Treeson) has announced that her Be Nice and Simple design will be a part of the first JANKY series by Superplastic. These figures, brought to collectors from the minds of Paul Budnitz and Huck Gee, will be released on May 15th 2018.
Hey...Plastic and Plush needs to generate some sort of cash to survive, right? So that's why I have started a Tee Public Shop to sell some of my wacky designs on various products. It's mostly weird mashups of 1970's, 80's, and 90's pop culture (as you can see from When Sally Met Harry... pictured above). You'll be helping keep the site going with every purchase. Thanks!
I am a huge fan of cheesy and cult classic films from the 1970's and 1980's. Phantom of the Paradise definitely falls into the latter category (it might also be considered cheesy, since it is a rock opera musical). But since it has cult status, that means we just might receive some collectibles based on the license. And Medicom has announced that they'll be doing just that, with this 400% Phantom of the Paradise Be@rbrick (shown above) and the Phantom of the Paradise Vinyl Collectible Doll (shown below).
I just threw up a little. In similar news, you can now order this plush Deadpool Riding a Unicorn from Kidrobot for $14.99. Whoopie!
Clutter has revealed the release details for the GLOTRON bootleg by Resin and Confused. This figure is an edition of 5 pieces and is produced in a mix of white resin with splattered colors, creating a homage to the OG figure. Plus, like the name sorta gives away, it glows in the dark.
This massive combiner robot stands at 17 inches tall and features magnetic articulation in the arms and wings. Priced at $300.00 apiece, they will be dropping via the above link beginning today (April 11th 2018) at Noon ET.
Artist Rob Schrab (you might know him for Scud: The Disposable Assassin) has set up an eBay store to sell Scud related items. So, if you were looking to pick up some rare - signed - Scud-related items, that's the place. He's also released a new shirt design over at TeePublic (that design is shown below) with prices starting around $20.00, depending on how girthy you are. Finally, you can check out the above video of his Robo Dog creation getting all excited about Easter, eggs, and chocolate. This is something I'd like to see more of. It's handmade...with a lot of cardboard and even a Gatorade cap in there underneath the paint.
This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the original Planet of the Apes film. And Super7 has announced that they'll be releasing a series of their ReAction figures based on the 1968 movie. They're currently showing off Wave 1 of this new 3.75-inch tall ReAction Figure assortment, which will be released in April 2018. Each figure features new and original card art by the legendary Ed Repka. Also, these figures include accessories.
