Scott Belcastro’s “Backyard” for “Devil Town”
On December 2nd 2011, Gallery 1988 will present "Devil Town", a group exhibition curated by Daniel Danger featuring 15 artists who were invited to create new work inspired by small town life. Los Angeles based painter Scott Belcastro is one of the artists featured in the exhibit.
Inspired by the woodlands of New York’s upstate region where he grew up, Scott's artwork is a beautiful contrast between vast, dramatic skies and the meticulously detailed landscapes below, often expressing feelings of loneliness and hope. Above is a sneak peek of his piece for "Devil Town" titled "Backyard".
