When you hear the word Uglydoll, it's natural to first think about the cuddly soft plush dolls. But in recent years, they've been expanding into tin, vinyl, clothing, etc.
Designer toy collectors are probably well aware of David + Sun-Min's Uglydoll Action Figures. Now on Series 3, the 3” tall vinyl toy line brings some of the most popular Uglydoll characters from plush to plastic.
Uglydoll Action Figures Series 3
Manufacturer: Pretty Ugly
Artist: Sun-Min Kim and David Horvath
Material: Rotocast vinyl
Dimensions: About 3” tall each
Points of Articulation: Most have 3 points (arms and waist/head)
Designs: Babo's Bird, Kaiju Ice-Bat, Ket, Nandy Bear, Ninja Batty Shogun and Pointy Max (2 colors of each)
Similar to Series 2, Pretty Ugly has chosen to not go with a blind box series. Each box has a window front, with a photo of the character on the top lid. Actually, the entire box is decorated in a photograph.
Of course, Ugydoll “Action Figures” is a little bit of a misnomer. It was joked – by David Horvath – that each figure had an "action feature posable waist line". But most of them do have three points, except for the figures with wings (Ice Bat and Ninja Batty Shogun).
