Adam Greeley will be releasing his 8" Munny custom Desayuno (Breakfast). The piece has been painted using acrylics and includes resin accessories sculpted by Adam's co-worker James English
The one off piece will be made available on Friday April 1st 2011 for $200.00. You'll be able to pick it up through Adam's webstore.
What’s the most important meal of the day? No one knows this better than Lucha Libre Desayuno. When feeding time comes get out of his way because he needs his fuel for his pile driving ways. Every hardcore wrestler has their own secret weapon whether it be brass knuckles, a wrench, or even a steel chair. Desayuno prefers his chorizo sausage nunchucks with hot sauce bottle handles. His duel purpose weapon will inflict bodily harm whether you’re being beat down with sausage links for getting a shot of hot sauce to the eyes. It’s no holds barred when this guy is in the ring or feeding his face.
Art Whino presents Yosiell Lorenzo's solo exhibition, entitled Seance. The artist will be materializing a series of new artwork that explains why it may be best to leave the dead at peace, and allow life's answers to unravel on their own. After all, what is the point of being privy to life's mysteries if you end up losing your soul in the process?
Several months back, we asked the question..."What happened to Charles' Creature Cabinet?" Well, Charles has broken his silence and has sent along the follow open letter to readers/fans/friends. Personally, I'm glad to hear that he's doing better and ready to resume doll-making. Also...it's nice to hear that all of the customers have received their orders.
After a long time of absence from the ball jointed doll scene, I’m now heading on my way back home with the wonderful help of some amazing friends. I feel so lucky and blessed to have so many good people around me that I can call my friends!
A few weeks ago I showed pictures of Ophelia Licorice’s little piggy sister Belle Odoroki. She was a project I did late 2009 and was produced in a very limited edition of 15 pieces only. My friend Murjani got overwhelmed with requests the minute Belle was uploaded, so little Belle was all sold out in a matter of hours and most customers should have her home by the time I’m writing this message. Thank you all so much!
Because of this ‘Belle event’ and also because of so many heartfelt and positive reactions and messages I did receive from you over the last few weeks, I decided to return to the doll world, new style/way of working! And also another important reason to return: I simply love to create/design and be able to share my vision with you all.
I’m very honored and excited to share that my new ‘comeback’ creature/doll will be released through Grace’s Jpop dolls. And if all goes as planned the ‘time limited pre order period’ will open in just a few weeks from now, so please stay tuned.
Looking up with my head up high and a smile on my face, thanks to all of you; my fans and dear friends that stood by me and kept believing in me no matter what. A heartfelt thank you, without you none of this would have been possible.
Wishing you all Love and Light,
PS All the back orders have been sent out to the customers and the retailers. We have done everything in our power to set things straight. However, should there still be someone out there that has ordered and paid in the past and still not received anything, please contact us.
It didn't take someone very long to put a sound chip in a Charlie Sheen sculpted bobblehead. Entertainment Earth has announced the pre-order availability ($12.99 each) of this "winning" Charlie Sheen Talking Wacky Wobbler Bobble Head.
Look for this to be released around July 2011 (right around the time when we forget about this...or we're memorializing Sheen). Distributed by Entertainment Earth, this Funko product stands 7 inches tall and speaks six authentic phrases:
• "When you got tiger blood and Adonis DNA, man, it's like... you get with the program, dude."
Blamo Toys will be sharing their WonderCon booths (#1230 and #1232) alongside Five and Diamond. And with that comes the news of a few WonderCon exclusives.
The first exclusive release is a limited run of only 6 custom wooden robots - Drilbots - from toy destroyer DrilOne. These are hand carved and hand painted. They'll be packaged in their own cardboard display boxes, and retail for $100.00 each.
Also, the Furry Munch - hand crafted out of sheep fur, solid cast brass, and taxidermy eyes - will be available with his own portable display bag. You'll be able to pick one up for $230.00.
If you are unable to make it to San Francisco for WonderCon, Blamo will be releasing all remaining exclusive figures online on Monday, April 11th 2011.
Ian Ziobrowski has given us a glimpse at his new creation - "Nuggywolf". It's a custom Kracka, which will be on display at the Kidrobot NYC store from April 1st until the 30th. (It will also be available for purchase)
This piece was fun to do a little different then what I normally put out, but the idea came from, what if NUGGS turned into a werewolf? And this is what I came up with.
Gumpy asks, "Whats better than a dump truck?" Well...a Gump Truck, of course. The Gump Truck is a custom run of TYO Toys box trucks that have been vandalized by Gumpy guerillas. These are limited to a run of only 5 pieces plus an artist proof, with the AP given away at Gunnzo on April 16th 2011.
Scott Tolleson introduces us to his very special uncle - Uncle Argh - who's being turned into a new 5" Mini Qee. (This is actually a very distant uncle, so you won't see any resemblance to Scott).
He's the uncle who hates visits.
The odd one without a care.
Run away if he comes calling,
Or he'll burn you with his stare!
Uncle Argh has been taken directly from Scott Tolleson's original custom 5" Mini Qee from the NYC♥QEE event from February. Thanks to great feedback, Toy2R is making this a limited edition production piece. It will drop this summer with a retail price around $28.00 each.
Adam Greeley sent along a teaser of a new custom that he will be releasing this coming Friday (April 1st 2011). All that we know at this point is that it will go on sale Friday morning for $200.00 (oh...and it might be named Desayuno). We should have more detailed photos closer to that time.
