Background

2010 has been a big year for Pretty Ugly and David + Sun-Min. We've seen a number of new Uglydolls hit retailers, with the past few months giving collectors a flurry of new plush characters. We're going to be looking at one of those new Uglydolls – Nandy Bear.

Nandy Bear is so sure of himself! Just look at him! Ok, no wait. Full of himself? Either way, Nandy Bear knows who he is and who he isn’t. He isn’t on his way to do some hard work, but he is on his way to ask you to do him a huge favor. It may involve a big hug, lots of love, and maybe some back up while watching a scary movie.

Nandy Bear is quite the motivational speaker, too. Come on! Buy that snacky pie for me! You can do it! Yes you can! Oh no you didn’t.

Our Opinion

Out of nowhere, about four new Uglydolls were released. It's like Christmas in the Uglyverse. While I'm not positive of the release order, I decided to take a look at Nandy Bear first.

The first thing you notice about Nandy Bear is that he's yellow...really yellow. A bright yellow plush with teeth that are a shade darker. The shape of this Ugly is almost rectangular. And while his arms, legs and ears don't appear to be that unique for an Uglydoll, I just keep coming back to that bright yellow.

The only negative – and it's not REALLY a negative – is that I would have loved seeing this character with a nose. I just hear the name Nandy Bear and think he should look like a bear.

OVERALL: The yellow shade of this Uglydoll is one of my favorites in the plush line. The fact that Nandy Bear is rectangular also makes him one of the better options for using your Uglydoll as a pillow (perfect for nap time). Did I mention that I liked this shade of yellow?
