blackwater kuggs

We're going to introduce a new weekly feature...looking back at some of our favorite toys and companies of yesteryear. Even though the designer toy genre isn't that old, we've seen plenty of companies and designers come and go.

This week we're going to look at Blackwater Toys (2006).

Blackwater Toys' lone line of designer toy was known as the Kugg. They were articulated polyresin figures that featured magnet in the hands. Each figure included a Kugg Mini as well as a subway train (both made of PVC). There were only two Kuggs created (Sheep and Black Sheep) with a separate series of blind-boxed Kugg Minis (our favorites resemble Bill Gates and Steve Jobs).

Check out our September 2006 review of the Kuggs line here.
