Artist Daniel Goffin recently released his Maneki Tora – a twist on the widely known Japanese Maneki Neko or "lucky/beckoning cat". Tora is the Japanese word for tiger and – since 2010 is the Chinese Lunar Sign of the Tiger – Daniel decided to incorporate the tiger into the 2.5" tall resin figure.
The pieces have been painted with special automotive effects paint that shifts colors depending on the lighting. Each of the edition of seven comes in a handmade cardboard box that also doubles as a display stand. These are currently available now at Daniel Goffin’s store for 30€ (about $40).
