I keep going Where does it come from

Urbanix Gallery is proud to present Japonaiserie: A group exhibition featuring works by Zoya Cherkassky, Tatyana Luxemburg and Lena Revenko. The opening reception takes place on Thursday, September 10th at 8PM and runs through October 12th.

The term Japonaiserie, taken from the French language, means a style in art reflecting Japanese qualities or motifs. Each artist will present works created with Japanese inspiration, translating it into her language and image world.

Zoya Cherkassky will present a series of three sculptures, made of aluminum mold, influenced by the works of Japanese artists Morakami and Nara. Tatyana Luxemburg investigates in her work the Japanese letters and typography. Lena Revenko will present a series of miniatures, painted on old books and origami paper.
